Knowledge Base for AI Copilot
As a small business owner, you often get the same questions from potential clients. It would be great to create a personal Knowledge Base for AI Copilot, so AI can pull up useful information from that base and include it in response emails. Here are some common questions for a Financial Advisor: What are your hours and contact number? What services do you offer to help manage my finances? How do you charge for your services? Is it a flat fee, hourly rate, or commission-based?How can you help me with retirement planning? Of course, you can spend hours crafting personalized responses to each question for every client. But why not let the AI Copilot do this for you? It can easily pull the information from the Knowledge Base you set up with your own notes, text files, etc. Meanwhile, you can focus on what you do best—making money!

Better Star Functionality
The ability to have different color stars/flags would be amazing. Also, the size of the current star is not very prominent. I use these to indicate emails that are either highly important or something I need to revisit/follow up on later. One other idea I like would be to show email messages in threads as they would appear in a text message conversation vs the traditional in-line way of showing everything. This would be both in the actual email itself as well as in the messages area where you would see the original email and then connect them to subsequent responses as a separate item (like a folder (original message) with subfolders (responses thereafter), if that makes sense) Aside from that, I am loving your app -- thank you!

Persona for AI Copilot
Make it possible to personalize the AI Copilot by customizing its name, role, and the rules and instructions it follows. For example, you can create the following rule: Your name is Jon. You are a professional Financial Advisor. Start your response with a friendly greeting using the recipient's name (e.g., "Hi [Name],").Thank them for their inquiry (e.g., "Thank you for reaching out about your investments.").Provide tailored financial insights related to their specific questions, referencing the knowledge base for accurate information.Invite further questions (e.g., "Feel free to ask if you need more assistance.").End with a professional sign-off (e.g., "Best regards, Jon").

Show unread message count on top line of inbox
as I am cleaning up my inbox I find I have to constantly go back to the folder list and expand my account to see the unread message count in the inbox folder. As my goal is to clean up the inbox showing my progress along the way is crucial

Less mess. More control. Real action
I’d like to raise a few points regarding how email clients currently handle organization and cleanup. While concepts like Inbox Zero and tabbed categorizations (Focused, Promotions, Social, etc.) offer a cleaner view, they don’t actually solve the underlying problem — the buildup of unused and irrelevant messages over time. Most email clients focus on how emails are displayed, not on how users can efficiently manage, clean, or reduce volume. One-Tap Smart Filter: By Sender / Subject Most clients today require multiple taps or typing to filter emails. A one-tap shortcut to filter by sender or subject (individually or combined) would be a game changer, especially for cleanup sessions. Imagine: • Tap on a sender name → view all mails from them. • Tap on a subject → view all mails with that topic. • Tap both → narrow down instantly. This would work similarly to Apple Mail’s Smart Folders, but should be dynamically generated on the fly, not static or preconfigured. Custom Fonts in Preview, Reading & Composer Many users read and write hundreds of emails daily. Allowing customization of fonts, size, and line spacing in: • Preview panels • Full reading view • Composer windows …would improve accessibility, personalization, and long-term comfort. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference — especially for users with visual preferences or working across devices with different screen sizes. Custom Named Categories + Quick Apply Current “smart” categories like Promotions, Social, etc. are not editable. A more flexible model would: • Let users rename categories to fit their workflow (e.g., “Clients”, “Finance”, “Urgent”). • Provide a quick-assign action (drag, tap, or swipe) to apply a mail to one of these. Optionally, pairing with server-side label sync (for Gmail, Outlook, etc.) would offer even more utility.

Sorting emails by sender
Sorting emails by sender is, own my opinion, a basic function of every email client. It helps to sort through emails quickly and clear unwanted emails or move them to folders. I find it amazing that Canary Mail does not have this feature. It is also noted that Canary Mail's own website promotes sorting emails by sender (https://canarymail.io/blog/manage-and-organize-emails/): 'Group by the sender: Another way to organize your inbox is by grouping messages from specific senders together. This can be particularly useful if you work with a lot of different people and want to quickly find messages from a particular colleague or client.' So, why is this function not there?

Out of Office Responder
Out of office replies would be very useful when OOO. This is an important feature for those using Canary for work.

Make canary smarter like Spark mail
To divided mails at the top the mail box, and pins and seen, it’s easy to check the mails, also show the numbers of the inbox and pins each at the bottom of the mail, please refer to Spark.

Multiple Flags (categories)
I am an Independent Contractor and this would make Canary Mail a usable app for me. Apple Mail and MS Outlook allow the use of multiple colored flags (in Mac OS Mail) or Categories (in Outlook). This is an important feature for me to organize my mail across different projects/timelines. This is an important feature that I look for in any Mail App, please consider adding this feature to Canary Mail.

Smart folders (like in Apple Mail)
I really miss the feature to add a smart folder that shows content defined by some rules. Apple Mail can do this and it is very helpful. It acts like a custom search preset but it looks like a local folder. For example, you can say: 3d ends with @gmail.com or 10mb

Choose image size for attachements
I like the Spark feature where you can attach images to an email but then choose at the bottom in what resolution the images are submitted, from low, middle, to high, and to original. That would save a lot of time and is definitely a feature I miss greatly because now I have to pre-reduce image sizes before sending them by email, which is quite inconvenient.

Marks emails as read when unread filter is on
When filtering emails to unread and reading through them one by one, they are not marked as read. I think users should have the option as some like to manually mark emails as read while some like to go through their emails like a to do list. Moreover, there is no single click method to switch to unread emails. Some email readers have a separate folder, while others have the filter button. I like how it's done in the iOS canary app where upon pressing the filter it automatically goes to unread, but you get the temporary banner at the bottom where it shows you what is being filtered and you can change that by pressing "unread" or whatever category is selected. I strongly believe this is crucial in terms of workflow and productivity as it is quite annoying to have to either select emails to mark as read or do it one by one.

Email Search engine: search "from:mario", "from:xxx@mail.com"...
As it is a standard on email clients, along the day we need to retrieve a communication from someone of from a subject. so usually we do a search using keywords, like "from: mario" and I will see all emails listed that were sent by mario, or I write "to:xxx" and I see all emails sent to xxx...or even by subject, "subject:xxx". and I can read all emails from xxx subject. this is key to work efficiently.
