Multiple Flags (categories)
I am an Independent Contractor and this would make Canary Mail a usable app for me. Apple Mail and MS Outlook allow the use of multiple colored flags (in Mac OS Mail) or Categories (in Outlook). This is an important feature for me to organize my mail across different projects/timelines. This is an important feature that I look for in any Mail App, please consider adding this feature to Canary Mail.

Marks emails as read when unread filter is on
When filtering emails to unread and reading through them one by one, they are not marked as read. I think users should have the option as some like to manually mark emails as read while some like to go through their emails like a to do list. Moreover, there is no single click method to switch to unread emails. Some email readers have a separate folder, while others have the filter button. I like how it's done in the iOS canary app where upon pressing the filter it automatically goes to unread, but you get the temporary banner at the bottom where it shows you what is being filtered and you can change that by pressing "unread" or whatever category is selected. I strongly believe this is crucial in terms of workflow and productivity as it is quite annoying to have to either select emails to mark as read or do it one by one.

Sorting emails by sender
Sorting emails by sender is, own my opinion, a basic function of every email client. It helps to sort through emails quickly and clear unwanted emails or move them to folders. I find it amazing that Canary Mail does not have this feature. It is also noted that Canary Mail's own website promotes sorting emails by sender (https://canarymail.io/blog/manage-and-organize-emails/): 'Group by the sender: Another way to organize your inbox is by grouping messages from specific senders together. This can be particularly useful if you work with a lot of different people and want to quickly find messages from a particular colleague or client.' So, why is this function not there?

Persona for AI Copilot
Make it possible to personalize the AI Copilot by customizing its name, role, and the rules and instructions it follows. For example, you can create the following rule: Your name is Jon. You are a professional Financial Advisor. Start your response with a friendly greeting using the recipient's name (e.g., "Hi [Name],").Thank them for their inquiry (e.g., "Thank you for reaching out about your investments.").Provide tailored financial insights related to their specific questions, referencing the knowledge base for accurate information.Invite further questions (e.g., "Feel free to ask if you need more assistance.").End with a professional sign-off (e.g., "Best regards, Jon").

Email Search engine: search "from:mario", "from:xxx@mail.com"...
As it is a standard on email clients, along the day we need to retrieve a communication from someone of from a subject. so usually we do a search using keywords, like "from: mario" and I will see all emails listed that were sent by mario, or I write "to:xxx" and I see all emails sent to xxx...or even by subject, "subject:xxx". and I can read all emails from xxx subject. this is key to work efficiently.

Hide email accounts from unified inbox
I have multiple accounts that I use mostly for spam and registering for accounts I'm not gonna use much - I don't want to see their emails in my main inbox as they're usually not what I'm interested in, but I'd still like quick access to them (which is why I have them added in Canary)

Inbox Zero - background images
Hello I really like the functionality - Inbox Zero But please give the option to switch off those disgusting pictures that are displayed, give the user the possibility to adjust them, e.g. the colour. Personally, I can't look at these disgusting pictures.

Knowledge Base for AI Copilot
As a small business owner, you often get the same questions from potential clients. It would be great to create a personal Knowledge Base for AI Copilot, so AI can pull up useful information from that base and include it in response emails. Here are some common questions for a Financial Advisor: What are your hours and contact number? What services do you offer to help manage my finances? How do you charge for your services? Is it a flat fee, hourly rate, or commission-based?How can you help me with retirement planning? Of course, you can spend hours crafting personalized responses to each question for every client. But why not let the AI Copilot do this for you? It can easily pull the information from the Knowledge Base you set up with your own notes, text files, etc. Meanwhile, you can focus on what you do best—making money!

Organize Threads (Conversations) Chronologically or Reverse-Chronologically
Canary Mail has the option to organize emails by thread, but currently it sorts threads with the newest message on top. It's a matter of personal preference, but many people prefer to have threads in chronological (rather than reverse-chronological) order. It would be nice to have a toggle switch for this in preferences. If there are multiple unread messages in a thread, it's a lot more intuitive to be able to read straight through (vs. reading each message top to bottom but then jumping up to the next message).
