  1. Persona for AI Copilot

Make it possible to personalize the AI Copilot by customizing its name, role, and the rules and instructions it follows. For example, you can create the following rule: Your name is Jon. You are a professional Financial Advisor. Start your response with a friendly greeting using the recipient's name (e.g., "Hi [Name],").Thank them for their inquiry (e.g., "Thank you for reaching out about your investments.").Provide tailored financial insights related to their specific questions, referencing the knowledge base for accurate information.Invite further questions (e.g., "Feel free to ask if you need more assistance.").End with a professional sign-off (e.g., "Best regards, Jon").

  3. Mail limit > 400

Just found out the Canary Mail only shows the last 400 mails per account... I really think this a no-go (at least for the desktop app), so I want at least an option to see/download/cache all mails to my computer...

  4. Add an "Unsubscribe" shortcut

For some reason there's no "Unsubscribe" option in the "Messages" menu for Canary. (See "Canary Messages Menu" screenshot attached) Also, under Settings > General > Shortcuts there is no option to set a shortcut for "Unsubscribe" (See "Canary Settings - Shortcuts" screenshot attached) Please add this feature as it will make it so much quicker/easier to Unsubscribe. When I'm working through emails, I have the "E" key set to "Archive" and the "W" key set to "Delete" and I would like to just as easily hit a key with my left hand, instead of having to use the trackpad/mouse to go click the triple dot menu, and then hit the "Unsubscribe" link.

  5. Sorting emails by sender

Sorting emails by sender is, own my opinion, a basic function of every email client. It helps to sort through emails quickly and clear unwanted emails or move them to folders. I find it amazing that Canary Mail does not have this feature. It is also noted that Canary Mail's own website promotes sorting emails by sender (https://canarymail.io/blog/manage-and-organize-emails/): 'Group by the sender: Another way to organize your inbox is by grouping messages from specific senders together. This can be particularly useful if you work with a lot of different people and want to quickly find messages from a particular colleague or client.' So, why is this function not there?

  6. "✓ " Read receipts icon shown in message - with each email address separately.

Please add "✓ Read" in the correspondence window next to each email address (To: - Cc: - Bcc: ) separately.

  7. Account Colour Prominence

Showing account colours only adds a very thin bar the the side of the email in the inbox. It doesn’t really help that much. I’d like to see this bar a bit bigger and in the left hand side next to the avatar to increase visibility.

  8. Real time sync

Spark syncs in real time. Canary doesn't. Spark performs despite how many connections I am running. Canary starts failing if I open one more mail software, besides Canary. Do you have plans to fix it? It's also quite crazy that checking new email at times takes a couple of minutes. After sending out an email to myself I can see that the unread email number next to the Inbox changes, but the new email doesn't show up in the mailbox. That's really poor product stability.

  9. Apple’s Reminder integration

Congrats re: integrations. This is game changer. Can we expect an integration with Apple’s Reminder anytime soon? Also, this would be awesome to have integrations options in swipes for quicker access/process. Best

  10. Marks emails as read when unread filter is on

When filtering emails to unread and reading through them one by one, they are not marked as read. I think users should have the option as some like to manually mark emails as read while some like to go through their emails like a to do list. Moreover, there is no single click method to switch to unread emails. Some email readers have a separate folder, while others have the filter button. I like how it's done in the iOS canary app where upon pressing the filter it automatically goes to unread, but you get the temporary banner at the bottom where it shows you what is being filtered and you can change that by pressing "unread" or whatever category is selected. I strongly believe this is crucial in terms of workflow and productivity as it is quite annoying to have to either select emails to mark as read or do it one by one.

  11. Show Full Email Addresses for Phishing Protection

To help combat phishing, I would like to have full email address visible all the time, not just the "friendly name". It's too easy to be lulled into a sense of security without seeing the full email address.

  12. Deep links to emails

Spark allows you to generate a deep link to an email within the email app. Makes it super useful to keep track of a certain email in say, a to do program like Things.app Bonus points for implementing macOS services per-email and/or share sheet.

  13. Add "Empty Junk" and "Empty Trash" buttons or a right-click actions in the folder navigation pane.

There does not appear to be a way to empty the Junk/Bulk mail nor Trash folders easily. the "Bulk Cleaner" button does not work reliably when using multiple accounts (it often indicates "no bulk mail found". Removing Junk mail requires selecting all of the messages, clicking the "Trash" icon, then going into the Trash folder and doing it again.

  14. Start refreshing in the backround

I'm not sure why this hasn't been addressed, but here goes: I have two email addresses set up on my Canary client and put them into a single unfiled inbox. It's a simple setup, and that's all I need. Now when I go into the app it shows me all my email that's been previously downloaded and then searches for new email. Takes a good 30 seconds to refresh each time. OK, fine, probably not the best way to do it, but OK. When I get a notification that I have a new email and click on the notification to read the email, Canary opens up and searches for a new email before showing me the new one. Why? Why didn't Canery download all the new email headers and content in the background so that when I click on the notification it can immediately go into the email without having to check both email accounts which takes about 30 seconds? Wasting a lot of time. If I have several email notifications overnight, and I clear them all and just go into the Canary app, Canary then takes 30 seconds to go and refresh the email accounts (again why it's not already been done in the background is kinda crazy) it then also throws up all the notifications again telling me I've got new email (which I just cleared) that I already know about. Can this please be fixed?

  15. Option to disable the "Open Link" dialog box

Add an on-off toggle in settings to enable users to switch the "Open Link" dialog box on or off. I personally don't find it useful and it is more of an annoyance. I'm sure that there must be others who feel the same. It should be up to individual users to decide whether they want this security feature enabled or disabled.
