Sorting emails by sender
Sorting emails by sender is, own my opinion, a basic function of every email client. It helps to sort through emails quickly and clear unwanted emails or move them to folders. I find it amazing that Canary Mail does not have this feature. It is also noted that Canary Mail's own website promotes sorting emails by sender (https://canarymail.io/blog/manage-and-organize-emails/): 'Group by the sender: Another way to organize your inbox is by grouping messages from specific senders together. This can be particularly useful if you work with a lot of different people and want to quickly find messages from a particular colleague or client.' So, why is this function not there?

Add a button for translating incoming emails.
It is easy to translate outgoing emails, but there is no option to translate incoming ones. Can you add this function?

Account Colour Prominence
Showing account colours only adds a very thin bar the the side of the email in the inbox. It doesn’t really help that much. I’d like to see this bar a bit bigger and in the left hand side next to the avatar to increase visibility.

Ability to create MS Teams & Google Meet online meeting invite directly from calendar
Many service provider (including EM Client, Super Human & Outlook) have this feature of creating direct meeting link from calendar. Please integrate the same.

Signature toggle On/Off
Would be great to have a toggle in compose screen to turn on/off signature. Also in settings to configure signature to only go when composing a new email and not in every response

Change font for viewing emails
The font when viewing email is different than the font when composing email (I prefer sending emails using Arial font for example). If it’s possible to change the default font when viewing emails (on the right side of the screen) that would be great to match the same font when I compose emails. It would make the interface look better and more streamlined to keep the font consistent. I know it’s possible to change the font when composing emails but not for viewing emails. Thank you.

DIsplay tags assigned to an email
The app does not display the tags assigned to an email. This makes the Archive feature less useful since I don't know where an email is being filed and the alternative of selecting a tag/folder from the Move dropdown is slow at best as I have many nested folders. In Gmail there is an indicator of the tag assigned to that email so when I click "Archive" I know where it's going. Even Apple mail shows you where an email is going to be filed when you archive it. Can please display an email's assigned tags so we know where items are being filed when we archive.

Color from Gmail Labels Match Folders
Anyone who uses labels extensively relies on colors. Not just the label/folder colors matching, but displaying the label with the associated color on the email preview itself. Makes scanning the inbox much much easier.

Recent Attachments Section
To maximise efficiency, a distinct section would include information on all attached files in a single location.

Add “Forward as Attachment” in Canary Mail to send emails as .eml files with headers & formatting intact. One-click via right-click Forward.
Add “Forward as Attachment” to Canary Mail to send emails as .eml files, preserving full headers, formatting, and metadata. Essential for professionals who need the original message intact—support teams troubleshooting issues, legal teams keeping records, or security teams analyzing phishing. A one-click option in the forward menu should attach one or multiple emails exactly as received. Best use case: sending a suspicious email to IT for analysis without alteration.

Show email subject that was read - mobile notifications
I don't know what email was read until I click the mobile notification. Just show me what email was read and when without having to click to find out!

When the Sent folder is missing, automatically create it instead of not sending any mail
Yesterday, I cleaned up all my mail accounts. Today, I discovered that although I was sending mails all day (with Canary under Windows), none where arriving. The problem was that the Sent folder was deleted and therefor, Canary (on Windows) did not send any mails. It was giving no error or warning that no mail was being sent, but in the logs I saw that the Thread for sending the mail was crashing. The elegant solution would be to just create the Sent folder if it is not there, instead of just not sending any mail and giving no error or warning to the user. I tested the same situation with Thunderbird, and it just created the Sent folder P.S.: Canary on iOS was just able to send the mail without the Sent folder present
