Sorting emails by sender
Sorting emails by sender is, own my opinion, a basic function of every email client. It helps to sort through emails quickly and clear unwanted emails or move them to folders. I find it amazing that Canary Mail does not have this feature. It is also noted that Canary Mail's own website promotes sorting emails by sender (https://canarymail.io/blog/manage-and-organize-emails/): 'Group by the sender: Another way to organize your inbox is by grouping messages from specific senders together. This can be particularly useful if you work with a lot of different people and want to quickly find messages from a particular colleague or client.' So, why is this function not there?

Persona for AI Copilot
Make it possible to personalize the AI Copilot by customizing its name, role, and the rules and instructions it follows. For example, you can create the following rule: Your name is Jon. You are a professional Financial Advisor. Start your response with a friendly greeting using the recipient's name (e.g., "Hi [Name],").Thank them for their inquiry (e.g., "Thank you for reaching out about your investments.").Provide tailored financial insights related to their specific questions, referencing the knowledge base for accurate information.Invite further questions (e.g., "Feel free to ask if you need more assistance.").End with a professional sign-off (e.g., "Best regards, Jon").

Organize Threads (Conversations) Chronologically or Reverse-Chronologically
Canary Mail has the option to organize emails by thread, but currently it sorts threads with the newest message on top. It's a matter of personal preference, but many people prefer to have threads in chronological (rather than reverse-chronological) order. It would be nice to have a toggle switch for this in preferences. If there are multiple unread messages in a thread, it's a lot more intuitive to be able to read straight through (vs. reading each message top to bottom but then jumping up to the next message).

Better Star Functionality
The ability to have different color stars/flags would be amazing. Also, the size of the current star is not very prominent. I use these to indicate emails that are either highly important or something I need to revisit/follow up on later. One other idea I like would be to show email messages in threads as they would appear in a text message conversation vs the traditional in-line way of showing everything. This would be both in the actual email itself as well as in the messages area where you would see the original email and then connect them to subsequent responses as a separate item (like a folder (original message) with subfolders (responses thereafter), if that makes sense) Aside from that, I am loving your app -- thank you!

Mail limit > 400
Just found out the Canary Mail only shows the last 400 mails per account... I really think this a no-go (at least for the desktop app), so I want at least an option to see/download/cache all mails to my computer...

Multiple Flags (categories)
I am an Independent Contractor and this would make Canary Mail a usable app for me. Apple Mail and MS Outlook allow the use of multiple colored flags (in Mac OS Mail) or Categories (in Outlook). This is an important feature for me to organize my mail across different projects/timelines. This is an important feature that I look for in any Mail App, please consider adding this feature to Canary Mail.

Knowledge Base for AI Copilot
As a small business owner, you often get the same questions from potential clients. It would be great to create a personal Knowledge Base for AI Copilot, so AI can pull up useful information from that base and include it in response emails. Here are some common questions for a Financial Advisor: What are your hours and contact number? What services do you offer to help manage my finances? How do you charge for your services? Is it a flat fee, hourly rate, or commission-based?How can you help me with retirement planning? Of course, you can spend hours crafting personalized responses to each question for every client. But why not let the AI Copilot do this for you? It can easily pull the information from the Knowledge Base you set up with your own notes, text files, etc. Meanwhile, you can focus on what you do best—making money!

Real time sync
Spark syncs in real time. Canary doesn't. Spark performs despite how many connections I am running. Canary starts failing if I open one more mail software, besides Canary. Do you have plans to fix it? It's also quite crazy that checking new email at times takes a couple of minutes. After sending out an email to myself I can see that the unread email number next to the Inbox changes, but the new email doesn't show up in the mailbox. That's really poor product stability.

Show unread message count on top line of inbox
as I am cleaning up my inbox I find I have to constantly go back to the folder list and expand my account to see the unread message count in the inbox folder. As my goal is to clean up the inbox showing my progress along the way is crucial

Extend the search to use all fields
the search now seems rather limited. There should be a way to add more complex searches without the use of AI. Especially searches for Date or date ranges is missing (See MailMate app)

Auto convert iPad HEIC files from Photos app to JPG
Many people cannot view HEIC files when I include them in emails. It takes too much time to manually convert. I believe the iPad Mail program does it because I’ve never had a problem before.
